This is an on going project by the Punta Gorda Historic Mural Society. Each one of the murals tells part of the story of the rich history of Punta Gorda.

Since 1961 the Charlotte County Art Guild has made its home in Punta Gorda. In the early days they met at the local high school. Today,they have the Punta Gorda Visual Arts Center that hosts classes, exhibitions and has two major galleries showcasing the work of local artists.
